If you’re looking to grow your career, it starts with how you view your own expertise. Every single day, you are operating as a high-level professional in multiple domains:
1. Project Manager: You plan, execute, and monitor complex learning objectives.
2. Public Speaker: You engage and influence diverse audiences daily.
3. Data Analyst: You assess performance metrics (grades) to pivot your strategy.
4. Conflict Mediator: You manage high-pressure social dynamics and negotiations.

I really liked this perspective because teachers often do much more than simply teach. Planning, managing different personalities, analyzing students’ progress, and handling unexpected situations all require skills that are valuable far beyond the classroom.
I especially liked the idea of changing the way we see our professional identity. Recognizing these skills can help teachers become more confident in their abilities and also see new opportunities for career growth. Sometimes it’s not about learning completely new skills, but realizing the value of the skills we already use every day.
Thank you, Ms. Zahra.
